Autism & Aging: Accelerated Aging & Heterogeneity

In February 2022 we finished collecting data for this overarching study on autism and aging. We included participants with an autism diagnosis or an ADHD diagnosis and participants without an autism and/or ADHD diagnosis.

We now start with a follow up study in which we focus on cognitive strategies/mechanisms, so how people do a task instead of just how well do people perform on a task. People differ in strategies and strategies might alter when aging. This is the focus of this new project as autistic adults might have their own cognitive style which might even be less sensitive for general cognitive aging effects.
