Update…many things

Posted on: 31 July 2026

“Radio”silence at the d’Arc site. Not that nothing happened, but we were all rather busy. the primary funding ended, and many people switched jobs. We are currently reorganizing (which will imply that we will be updating the website as well in the near future). What happened? After Tulsi Radhoe and Carolien Torenvliet (respective topics sub grouping and cognitive aging) also Bobby Jertberg, Wikke van der Putten and Rinske van den Heuvel (respective topics cognition, camouflaging, and social networks) finished their PhDs, Iris Selten finished her postdoc (topic intervention use and relapse prevention), and Carolien Torenvliet returned to our lab bringing additional expertise due to her postdoc at the Radboud University.

Hilde Geurts wrote a book on autism and aging (“Alles wat we (willen) weten over verouderen met autisme”, Hogrefe) and is working on the next book together with many others (“Lifehacks voor ouderen met autisme”, SWP).

Each of us gave many (many!) talks, some where in the media adressing late (after 50 years) diagnosis, others secured grants or other support so Nadza Džinalija could join us as postdoc (individual differences in brain development, PI d’Arc Joe Bahelt); Femke Claas (anxiety in autistic adults; Leo Kannerhuis, PI d’Arc Hilde Geurts), Savina van Rielová and Marine Soler (individual placement support for people with mental health problems, PI d’Arc Tim Ziermans) as PhD students. So there will be more news in the future.
