I am a neuropsychologist and I am currently working as a postdoc at the AMC and VUMC within YIELD. However, till september 2014 I was working at the Brain and Cognition department (Psychology) of the University of Amsterdam. In 2009 I started my PhD project regarding an executive function training for children with autism. Before I started this project, I worked as a clinician with children with a broad range of developmental disorders, including ADHD and autism.

In my PhD project, I compared a working memory training, a cognitive flexibility, and a non-executive function training (as active control condition) for children aged 8 till 12 years with autism, Asperger syndrome and PDD-NOS in a randomized clinical trial. I showed that a adaptive computer training is not more effective than a control game.
